Basanta Utsav Santiniketan

It is a colorful festivals for all Indians and known as Holi. It occurs at the end of winter when spring comes with its beauty. Falgun and Chaitra according to the Bengali calendar is the season of Dol utsav. During this season nature shows its own beauty with colorful flowers of Palash, Shimul etc.
Rabindranath Tagore started Dol utsav in his institution with colorful cultural programmes. It coinside with Holi. The students of Visva-Bharoti celebrate Basanta utsav in very special way. They make the festival more colorful and attractive to all came from outside the district and also from abroad by their magnificent live performance.
11th March, 2017:
Upon arrival on Bolpur-Santiniketan Rly Stn. we will pickup you and transfer to hotel. You can visit the utsav prangan and handicraft market at Santiniketan at afternoon/evening (at your own interest, we will guide you).
12th March, 2017:
Early morning visit to utsav prangan, lunch at Banalakshmi. Visit Gour prangan/ Natyagharh at evening and enjoy the Geetinatya acted by local students. Have dinner, night stay at hotel
13th March, 2017:
Today is the farewell day of your magnificent tour so do spare few minute of your valuable time and write to tell us how much you enjoyed the tour. After breakfast with many wonderful memories drive down to Santiniketan Rly Stn.
